Great food and even better staff!
Had a fab stay after shopping. The room was massive and spotless, and super comfy! Emma the manager was awesome, making us feel right at home. Dinner at the restaurant was delish and super affordable. Only issue was the lukewarm water for tea, but it didn't ruin anything. Definitely worth a visit!

Impressive seasonal menu with great specials.
The shower head was full of limescale and poorly functioning.

Room No 12 was exceptionally quiet, making it perfect for a light sleeper like me, thanks to its location at the back of the hotel and great blackout curtains. The staff were incredibly friendly and the full English breakfast was delightful, featuring a perfectly cooked fried egg. An onsite pub offered a convenient dining option, but the seating could be improved during busy hours.

The check-in at the bar was super smooth, and I really enjoyed the cozy pub atmosphere along with a hearty breakfast offer. I loved chilling in the garden area and having access to a nice terrace for relaxation. Just a heads up, the room could use some updates, but overall, it didn’t ruin my experience! ☀️

our stay was pleasant, with a well-decorated and clean superior double room. staff were friendly and attentive, and the two-for-one burgers on friday were a delightful surprise. i’ve stayed in chester before, but this visit definitely exceeded my previous experiences at other hotels.
breakfast options were a bit limited.

Couple getaway worth the price
The pub and room were really nice. The food served in the pub was outstanding, having had an evening meal and breakfast there—both meals made me feel surprisingly welcome, like I was a regular. Plus, utilizing my Blue Light discount card saved me a nice chunk on the bill—can't complain about that!
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive, but still acceptable.

I chose this hotel mainly for its proximity to Chester Zoo, and it didn't disappoint. The room was clean with decent size, and comfortable beds. Free parking was a big plus. The children's playground nearby kept the kids happy. both nights were quite noisy with the pub atmosphere, making it hard to sleep early. the decor felt dated, needing a refresh. Staff were friendly, which made the stay more pleasant, but ordering food took longer than expected, and some items were already off the menu. Despite these issues, I would stay again for the location and overall value.

The location was perfect for exploring Chester. we enjoyed a lovely walk to the historic walls and the Cathedral. Our stay was comfortable, especially in the spacious twin room which was clean and well-decorated. The outdoor area of the pub was a nice touch, providing a great spot to relax after a day of sightseeing. We even had time to catch a football match on one of the many screens, which added to the lively atmosphere.
