it felt like a hidden nook, albeit a maze to navigate to. The complimentary amenities provided in the room were also notable, adding a touch of convenience that enhanced my experience despite being informed of flooding by staff the night before.

Fairly clean hotel, comfortable beds, savoury breakfasts and caring staff. Brilliant and warm room, a shower and bath sheets in the room. Easy location, very close to a lovely garden. A great bar on site.

Great food and even better staff!
The room was massive and super clean, and super comfy! Emma the manager was awesome. Dinner at the restaurant was delish and super affordable. Only issue was the lukewarm water for tea, but it didn't ruin anything. Definitely worth a visit!

Excellent seasonal menu with great specials.
The shower head was full of limescale and poorly functioning.

Room No 12 was quiet, thanks to its location at the back of the hotel and great blackout curtains. The staff were friendly and the full English breakfast was good, with a perfectly cooked fried egg. An onsite pub offered a convenient dining option, but the seating could be improved during busy hours.

The check-in at the bar was super smooth, and I really enjoyed the cozy pub atmosphere along with a hearty breakfast offer. I loved chilling in the garden area and having access to a nice terrace for relaxation. Just a heads up, the room could use some updates, but overall, it didn’t ruin my experience! ☀️

Staff were great, and the two-for-one burgers on friday were a good surprise. I've stayed in chester before, but this visit definitely exceeded my previous experiences at other hotels.

Couple getaway worth the price
The pub and room were really nice. The food served in the pub was excellent, having had an evening meal and breakfast there-both meals, like I was a regular. Plus, utilizing my Blue Light discount card saved me a nice chunk on the bill-can't complain about that!
It wasn't exactly inexpensive, but still acceptable.
